City of Eagle Pass gasoline card fraud mastermind, Edgar Aguilar, bond revoked

The City of Eagle Pass gasoline card fraud mastermind, Edgar Aguilar, had his pre-trial release bond revoked by United States Magistrate Judge Collis White of the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, Del Rio Division, on Thursday, February 14, 2013, during a bond revocation hearing held in Del Rio, Texas.
The United States Attorney’s office for the Western District of Texas, Del Rio Division, filed a Petition to Revoke Bond as to Edgar Aguilar on behalf of the United States Pretrial Services for the Western District of Texas, Del Rio Division, on February 11, 2013, alleging that Aguilar had violated one or more conditions of his pre-trial release bond conditions.
After the February 14th bond revocation, U.S. Magistrate Judge found that Edgar Aguilar had indeed violated the terms of his pretrial release bond conditions ordering that his bond be revoked and placed under detention immediately and placed under custody of the United States Marshals” Service.
Edgar Aguilar plead guilty on November 29, 2012, to conspiracy to defraud the United States by using City of Eagle Pass fuelman gasoline cards unauthorized from the City Public Works Department and allowing third parties to fuel their vehicles and receiving payment in cash for half the price of the gasoline fueled using the City Public Works Department gas cards. Aguilar was awaiting sentencing on April 12, 2013, at the time of his bond revocation on February 14th. Almost $70,000 in unauthorized gasoline purchases is reported to have been charged on the City Public Works Department fuelman gasoline cards in the conspiracy, where all five defendants indicted to date have plead guilty.
