Congressman Pete P. Gallego to speak at Chamber Banquet

Texas Congressman Pete P. Gallego of the 23rd Congressional District will be the keynote speaker at the 86th Annual Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce Banquet on Thursday, February 21, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. at the City of Eagle Pass International Center for Trade, 3295 Bob Rogers Drive, in Eagle Pass, Texas, announced William “Billy” Davis, President of the Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce.
Congressman Gallego was elected on November 6, 2012, to his first term as Congressman of the cavernous 23rd Congressional District of Texas, which includes from Eagle Pass to San Antonio to Fort Stockton to El Paso and over 800 miles of the United States-Mexico border. Gallego defeated previous one-term Republican Tea Party incumbent, Francisco “Quico” Canseco of San Antonio, Texas.
The Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce banquet will also feature the annual report by President William “Billy” Davis, the installation of the 2013 Board of Directors, and the presentation of the Citizen of the Year Award. There are three nominees for the Citizen of the Year Award, including Hector J. Cerna, President of IBC Bank-Eagle Pass, Jose Armando Perez, a college professor, and Mirella Zaragoza.
