Eduardo Esquivel named EPISD Chief of Police

The Eagle Pass Independent School District Board of Trustees by a vote of 5 to 1 named interim EPISD Chief of Police Eduardo Esquivel as the new EPISD Police Chief at their regular board meeting on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at the EPISD Service Center Board Room in Eagle Pass, Texas.

Board members Glenna Purcell, Ramon Ramirez, Ana G. Santleben, Claudio Heredia, and Dr. Hector Alvarez voted in favor of Eduardo Esquivel’s selection while Board member Lupita Fuentes voted against on the grounds that “the whole process was tainted from the beginning” and Board President Ignacio “Nacho” Saucedo was not present at the meeting.
