Eric Villasenor named C.C. Winn High School Mavericks head football coach

The Eagle Pass Independent School District Board of Trustees named Eagle Pass High School Eagles offensive coordinator Eric Villasenor as the new C.C. Winn High School Mavericks head football coach on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at their regular board meeting at the EPISD Service Center Board Room held in Eagle Pass, Texas.
In an exclusive interview with the Eagle Pass Business Journal, newly hired Mavericks head football coach Eric Villasenor stated that he was very excited and happy to be named head coach of the Thundering Mavericks football program and looks forward to begin working immediately. Head Coach Villasenor stated that he looks forward to putting the Maverick Nation football program on the map and building it into a highly competitive football program the community can be proud of. He thanked the EPISD School Board for their vote of confidence and everyone who helped him in his coaching career to date.
Mavericks head football coach Villasenor joins the thundering Mavericks football program with 12 years of coaching experience and the past seven years as offensive coordinator of the Eagle Pass Eagles. He stated this was a dream come true and looks forward to working with the students, parents, faculty, staff, loyal fans, and community to changing the Mavericks football program into a winning tradition.
