Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber announced that four Eagle Passans were arrested on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, for aggravated assault stemming from a fight at a local dance hall in December of 2012. Among the four persons arrested are David Lopez, Seco Mines Community Center Director, Juan Gloria, an employee of Maverick County, Felix Tamez, and Eduardo Tamez.
Maverick County Justice of the Peace of Precinct 2, Dora Madera, signed and issued the Warrant of Arrests. All four accused persons have been released after being processed and posting bonds.
A Warrant of Arrest contains allegations of wrongdoing but is not evidence of guilt. All accused persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a Court-at-Law.
