Gov. Perry Appoints Cadena as Judge of 83rd Judicial District
AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Robert Cadena of Del Rio as judge of the 83rd Judicial District Court in Val Verde, Pecos, and Terrell counties for a term to expire at the next general election.
Cadena is an assistant U.S. attorney for the Western District of Texas. He is a member of the Val Verde County Bar Association, State Bar of Texas and Federal Bar Association. He is also president of the Big Friendly Bass Club, a volunteer for the Del Rio H.E.B. “Feast of Sharing” event, and a communion minister, lector, and Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) teacher at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Cadena received a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and a law degree from The University of Texas School of Law.
This appointment is subject to senate confirmation.
