San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro personally met with Mexico’s President Enrique Pena-Nieto at Los Pinos, the Mexican equivalent of the U.S. Whitehouse, on Thursday, February 21, 2013, and both discussed San Antonio’s important role in international trade between the United States and Mexico.
Mayor Castro earlier on December 6, 2012, represented the United States at President Pena-Nieto’s inauguration together with top Whitehouse Cabinet members.
Mayor Castro is a rising American political star since he presented the Keynote speech at the 2012 National Democratic Party Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina, Castro is the most sought after speaker right now in the United States.
