State District Judge Dick Alcala grants temporary suspension of County Commissioners Eliaz Maldonado and Rudy Heredia

Visiting State District Judge Dick Alcala has granted a temporary suspension of Maverick County Commissioners Eliaz Maldonado of Precinct One and Rudy Heredia of Precinct Two pursuant to the State of Texas petition for removal filed by Maverick County Attorney Ricardo Ramos on Monday, February 11, 2013, in Eagle Pass, Texas.

Judge Alcala accepted open nominations from the public to serve as temporary County Commissioners. For Precinct One 10 candidates were nominated including Jerry Morales, Leopoldo Vielma, Javier Libson, Oscar Cantu, Antonio Trevino, Jesus Casas, Joaquin L. Rodriguez, Ricardo Salinas, Billy Davis, and Alex Flores.

For Precinct Two a total of four persons were nominated including Rafael Chancey, Rosy Cantu, Daniela Flores-Aleman, and Joe Gonzalez.

Judge Alcala will select two temporary County Commissioners.
