Cesar Perez, Martha Zamarripa, and Elisa Martinez set for Pre-Trial Court hearing on April 2nd

Suspended Maverick County Justice of the Peace of Precinct 2, Cesar Perez, and co-defendants Martha Zamarripa and Elisa Martinez appeared before State District Judge Amado Abascal, III, of the 365th Judicial District Court of Maverick County, Texas, on Friday, March 1, 2013, for an Arraignment hearing in the pending state criminal case against them for theft by a public servant and organized criminal activity.
All three defendants entered a plea of not guilty before Judge Abascal.
Judge Abascal set a new court hearing date for Pre-trial motions on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. All pre-trial and discovery motions will be heard on April 2nd before scheduling a trial date in the case.
Cesar Perez is being represented by attorneys Rogelio Munoz of Uvalde, Texas and Earl Herring of Eagle Pass. Martha Zamarripa is represented by attorney Armando Roman of Laredo, Texas. Elisa Martinez is represented by attorneys Edgar Hugo Juarez and Rolando Salinas of Eagle Pass.
The State of Texas is represented by Assistant Attorney Generals Lance Kutnick and Jonathan White of the Office of Attorney General of Texas in Austin, Texas.
