Chevrolet Pick-up collides with Belly Dump Tractor-Trailer

A 2011 red Chevrolet Crew Cab pick-up truck collided with an 18 Wheeler Belly Dump Tractor-Trailer at the intersection of North Veterans Boulevard and North Bibb Avenue during early morning back to school traffic at approximately 6:45 a.m. on Monday, March 18, 2013.
Based on information and belief, the Chevrolet pick-up truck rear-ended the 18 Wheeler Belly Dump sustaining heavy damages to the front of the pick-up and the Chevrolet pick-up truck driver reversed his vehicle after the collision and according to Eagle Pass Police Department Officers at the scene of the accident allegedly struck a third vehicle. The Chevrolet pick-up truck driver was arrested and taken to the Eagle Pass Police Department. The 18 Wheeler Belly Dump chasis sustained some damage from the strong rear-end collision. It is unknown if the 18 Wheeler Belly Dump truck driver sustained any injuries as well as the driver of the third vehicle struck by the pick-up truck.
The early morning automobile accident slowed to a snail pace the back-to-school traffic along North Veterans Boulevard in Eagle Pass. The Eagle Pass Police Department is investigating the accident.
