Eagle Pass Public Library celebrates National Library Week, April 14-20th

The City of Eagle Pass Public Library Director Thomas Eggers announced that the local public library is celebrating National Library Week during April 14-20, 2013. Eggers invites everyone to visit the Eagle Pass Public Library during the National Library Week as well as every day they so wish and enjoy the many literary and educational books and resources available at the local public library located at 589 East Main Street in downtown Eagle Pass.
The Eagle Pass Public Library is opened Monday through Saturday with operating hours on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. and on Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. through 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 1 p.m. through 5 p.m. The library is closed on Sunday. The City of Eagle Pass Public Library System also features a Children’s Public Library located at 243 Bliss Street at Fort Duncan Park. The Eagle Pass Children’s Public Library is opened Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 1p.m. through 5 p.m. The Children’s Library is closed on Sunday. The Children’s Library telephone number is (830) 758-1361.
During the the month of April, the Eagle Pass Public Library is renewing local residents public library card which have expired for free and is accepting overdue books free from any late-charges as part of its amnesty program.
The Eagle Pass Public Library also offers free computer and internet use for a limited time as well as free use of I-PADs to local registered library patrons. The Eagle Pass Public Library will also be remodeled in the immediate future to accomodate handicap users and expand services to library patrons.
