Eagle Pass native and Southwest Texas Junior College student Mario “Eagle” Jimenez will be competing in the Texas Run for Your Life 5K Survival Race on Saturday, June 1, 2013, in South Forney, Texas, near Dallas. Jimenez will be representing Eagle Pass in this most grueling 5K race which requires great skill, agility, stamina, and discipline of its competitors.
The Texas Run for Your Life 5K Survival Race features crazy and wild zombies who tag competitors attempting to eliminate as many participants as possible from crossing the finish line in an obstacle course setting in beautiful South Forney. Jimenez has prepared for this race during the past six months and hopes to be one of the survivors who completes the race without being tagged and eliminated by the zombies and other inanimate objects placed within the 5K obstacle course.
This will be Mario “Eagle” Jimenez’s second survival 5K race in his young running career. Jimenez successfully completed his first survival 5K race earlier this year in Taylor, Texas, evading the crazy and wild zombies along the obstacle course. “It is a lot of fun and hard work to complete the 5K race without being tagged out and eliminated,” said Jimenez. “It takes a lot of agility and dexterity to evade the zombies and all the objects thrown at competitors during the 5K race,” added Jimenez. “My goal is to successfully complete and survive the Texas Run for Your Life 5K Race this Saturday,” said Jimenez.
The Eagle Pass Business Journal congratulates Mario “Eagle” Jimenez for successfully competing and representing Eagle Pass in the Texas Survival 5K Race Circuit and wishes him the best of luck this Saturday, June 1st. Go “Eagle” Go! Beat the Zombies!
