PRESS RELEASE: Routine Traffic Stop By The Sheriff’s Department Results In The Confiscation Of $10,000 In Cash

Maverick County Sheriff’s Office (PRESS RELEASE) – On Friday, May 10, 2013 at approximately 5:00 pm Maverick County Deputy stopped a white van on the intersection of Hwy 57 and Second Street belonging to a local (tour vans) business in Eagle Pass Tx. Upon investigation deputy noticed a small white box inside the van with several wrapped bundles of cash totaling $10,000. The money was unclaimed and confiscated by the deputy. The case remains under investigation by the Maverick County Criminal Investigations Division.
