18 Year Old Male Found Dead In Back Of Home In Loma Bonita; Suspected Suicide

Maverick County Sheriff’s Office (PRESS RELEASE) – On Tuesday June 4, 2013 at 8:26 am officers were dispatched to 978 Frente St. In Loma Bonita in reference to a possible suicide. Upon arrival deputy made contact with Enedelia Rodriguez who advised officer that her grandson Carlos Javier Valadez 18 years of age was found in the back of the property with an electrical cord on his neck tied from a tree. Victim had no signs of life and appeared to have been deceased for several hours. A wooden ladder was also found next to victim. JP Madera pronounced time of death at 9:10 am and ordered an autopsy. Riojas Funeral Chapel arrived and took possession of the body. Case is under investigation.
