Deputy Conducts a Routine Traffic Stop On A Motorist At Memo Robinson Road; Driver Arrested With 6.6 Grams Of Cocaine
Maverick County Sheriff’s Office (PRESS RELEASE) – On Wednesday June 5, 2013 at approximately 6:44 pm Deputy Sheriff conducted a traffic stop on Memo Robinson and Argelia on a 2001 Gold Daewoo 4 door car. Driver was asked for his drivers license and insurance. Driver was also asked if he could give consent to search his vehicle. Deputy conducted K9 search of vehicle to which driver agreed. K9 was deployed on said vehicle which alerted to the center console. A small clear plastic baggie with a white powdery substance was found underneath the center console. The driver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center. The white powdery substance was tested at the Maverick County Sheriff’s Department and came back positive for Cocaine. A total weight of 6.6 grams.
