Eagle Pass Boy dies in auto accident in Dallas

An Eagle Pass young boy tragically lost his life on Friday, June 14, 2013, in an automobile accident in Dallas, Texas while vacationing with his family. The young boy was identified as Jacob Hernandez, age 8, and the son of C.C. Winn High School assistant football coach Manuel Hernandez, Jr. and Sonia Rodriguez, both of Eagle Pass.
According to news reports, young Jacob was traveling in a family automobile when it was suddenly and unexpectedly rear-ended by another automobile in a Dallas highway or street. The child passed away from the fatal injuries he sustained in the accident.
The community of Eagle Pass and the Eagle Pass Independent School District mourn the loss of young Jacob Hernandez’s life.
According to the Dallas Police Department, the accident is under investigation.
