Eagle Pass Young Woman killed in auto accident in San Antonio

A young woman from Eagle Pass, Texas was fatally struck by a Ford F-150 Pick-Up Truck on Interstate 10 and Callaghan Road after her automobile stalled on IH-10 and she waited outside her vehicle for assistance when she and her automobile were rear-ended by the driver of the pick-up truck at approximately 11:15 P.M. in San Antonio, Texas on Sunday, June 16, 2013.

The young woman passed away at the scene of the accident due to the severe injuries she sustained from the rear-end accident.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, the name of the deceased young woman is Rosa Melissa Gutierrez, age 26, who lived in San Antonio but was originally from Eagle Pass. Police said Gutierrez experienced car problems and stalled when she was fatally rear-ended.

Eagle Pass mourns the loss of one of its young citizens in such a tragic automobile accident.
