The June 14-15, 2013 flood in Eagle Pass, Texas and Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico caused the Rio Grande River to crest above its bank at these two sister cities on the United States-Mexico border with the official feet of this recent flood remaining to be determined by the National Weather Service of the United States of America.
The June 14-15th flood of 2013 also caused the Elm Creek and Seco Creek, both direct water tributaries of the Rio Grande River, in northern Maverick County to crest above their banks causing widespread flooding in Eagle Pass and Maverick County, Texas.
The same June 14-15th flood caused severe and extreme flooding in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico affecting hundreds of homes and widespread damages to property and at least one fatality.
As a result of Mother Nature’s reminder during the June 14-15, 2013 flood in Eagle Pass and Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico and its devastating destruction on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border caused the Eagle Pass Business Journal to research the top 25 crests of the Rio Grande River at Eagle Pass and Piedras Negras, Coahuila.
