Mr. Cartender Truck Stop on Highway 277 Suffers a Structural Fire
The Eagle Pass Fire Department received an emergency call at approximately 3:30 A.M. on Friday morning, June 14, 2013, regarding a fire at the Mr. Cartender Truck Stop located at the intersection of Highways 277 South and 57 North in Eagle Pass, Texas. Upon arriving at the scene of Mr. Cartender Truck Stop, the Eagle Pass Fire Department firemen encountered a large blaze and began battling the fire with all of their equipment and resources. The Mr. Cartender Truck Stop Building suffered extensive fire damages as a result of the large blaze. After an extensive and fierce battle to contain the flames from affecting the gas and diesel tanks, the Eagle Pass Fire Department was able to put out the flames and from spreading to other structures or human lives. The Eagle Pass Police Department also assisted in securing the area from vehicular traffic and any other persons being affected. The total loss of damages to Mr. Cartender Truck Stop is unknown as of this time but are definitely significant.
