Eagle Pass man severely injured in assault

An Eagle Pass man sustained severe injuries arising from an assault against him by an unidentified individual or individuals on Monday, September 16, 2013, announced Eagle Pass Police Department Lieutenant Aldo Escamilla. The Eagle Pass man was found at 1:37 A.M. lying in the middle of the 2000 block of Garrison Street near the Mexican Consulate Office by the Eagle Pass Police Department who responded to a telephone call.
The Eagle Pass man has been identified as Rodolfo Isaias Carcamo who was transported by ambulance to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center and later airlifted to Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas due to the severity of his injuries. Carcamo was allegedly assaulted and left lying on the ground on Garrison Street.
The case is under investigation by the Eagle Pass Police Department’s Detective Division, said Lieutenant Escamilla. Anyone who has information regarding this case is asked to please contact the Eagle Pass Police Department Detective Division at (830) 773-9044.
Carcamo has sustained severe injuries to his body and face and is in critical condition in the intensive care unit at Brooke Army Medical Center.
