Gloria E. Hernandez elected to Eagle Pass City Council

Eagle Pass attorney Gloria E. Hernandez easily won the City of Eagle Pass, Texas Special City Council Election for Place 1 on Saturday, September 14, 2013 over local businessman Angelo Aguilera 554 votes to 183 votes.
Hernandez will now be sworn-in as the new City Councilwoman of Place 1of the City of Eagle Pass on Tuesday, September 17th, at a special City Council meeting.
The City of Eagle Pass held the Special City Council Election to fill a vacancy left by former Mayor Pro-Tem Asalia Casares who was appointed as Maverick County Commissioner of Precinct 2 in June of 2013 to replace convicted former Maverick County Commissioner Rodolfo “Rudy” Bainet Heredia.
Angelo Aguilera garnered 183 votes and offered new leadership to Eagle Passans in his first ever campaign for public office. Aguilera thanked his supporters and those citizens who voted for him in the Eagle Pass Special City Council Election on September 14th.
Gloria E. Hernandez also thanked her supporters and Eagle Pass citizens who voted for her in the Special City Council Election. Hernandez stated she looks forward to serving on the Eagle Pass City Council.
