U.S. Border Patrolman acquitted of sexual assault of a minor charges in Maverick County, Texas

A seven women and five men Maverick County, Texas jury acquitted United  States Border Patrol Officer Brian E. Phipps of sexual assault of a seven-year old female child in Eagle Pass, Texas in the 293rd Judicial District Court of Maverick County, Texas before State District Judge Cynthia Muñiz on Friday, September 13, 2013.

The Maverick County jury verdict shows that the prosecution failed to meet its burden of “beyond a reasonable doubt.”

Phipps was represented by Eagle Pass attorney Gregory Torres.

The State of Texas was represented by 293rd Judicial District Assistant District Attorney Alberto Rodriguez.
