Del Rio man killed in one vehicle rollover in Maverick County

A Del Rio man, Jose Maria Segovia, age 68, was killed in a one vehicle rollover accident on Farm Market Road 131 about 20 miles north of Eagle Pass, Texas on Monday, September 30, 2013, announced Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber.

Segovia was traveling north from Eagle Pass to Bracketville, Texas near Spofford, Texas when he lost control of his Chevrolet S-10 pick-up truck causing the truck to rollover and ejecting Segovia from the vehicle.

The Eagle Pass Fire Department dispatched a fire truck and ambulance to the scene of the accident in northern Maverick County near the Kinney County line. The Maverick County Sheriff’s Department Deputies also rushed to the scene of the accident.

The accident is under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
