Eagle Passan Aiden Garcia named to Northeast 10 Conference Volleyball All-Rookie Team

Former Eagle Pass High School Lady Eagle and current Franklin Pierce University Raven volleyball player, Aiden Garcia, was named to the Northeast 10 Conference Volleyball All-Rookie Team for her outstanding play during the 2013 season as a freshman.
Garcia led the Franklin Pierce University Ravens, an NCAA Division II team, to an overall season record of 14-8 in 2013 while playing as an outside hitter and to the Ravens second trip to the NCAA East Regional Volleyball Championship as the seventh seed and as a quarter-finalist in the Northeast 10 Conference Championship tournament. The Ravens will play in the NCAA East Regional Championship during December 5-7, 2013, at Bridgeport University in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The Ravens received an at-large berth in the NCAA East Regional Championship and will play Long Island University at Post (22-9) in the quarterfinals. Other teams at the NCAA East Regional Championship include Bridgeport University (21-2), New York Tech (26-6), New Haven University (26-4), Adelphi University (19-12), Dowling University (19-13), and Georgian Court University (20-12).
Garcia is a starter for the Ravens as a freshman where she leads the team in hitting percentage (.273%) and blocks (44) and is fourth in points earned (198.5). Garcia has 170 kills, 60 digs, and averages 2.5 points per set. Garcia and her Franklin Pierce University Ravens will seek to win the NCAA East Regional Championship and advance to the NCAA Quarter-Final, Semi-Final and Final Championships at Upper Iowa University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Aiden Garcia is the daughter of Mark and Melody Garcia of Eagle Pass, Texas.
