Democratic Party Candidates’ Ballot Drawing Held December 16th

The Maverick County Democratic Party candidates for the March 4, 2014 Primary Election held their ballot drawing on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at the 293rd Judicial District Courtroom at the Maverick County Courthouse in Eagle Pass, Texas.
For the race of County Judge, incumbent County Judge David R. Saucedo is unopposed in the Democratic Party Primary and obviously drew the top No. 1 spot on the ballot. It is unknown as of press time if any candidate will register as a Write-In candidate for the County Judge position.
In the County Commissioner Precinct 1 race, County Commissioner Gerardo “Jerry” Morales drew the top No. 1 spot on the ballot followed by challengers Leo Buentello as second on the ballot, Marcos “Mark” De Los Santos is third on the ballot, and Nancy Gonzalez-Chavez is fourth on the ballot. It is unknown as of press time if any other candidate will register as a Write-In candidate for the County Commissioner Precinct 1 public office.
For the County Commissioner Precinct 2 race, challenger Yolanda Lopez Mauricio drew the top No. 1 spot on the ballot while Marco Antonio Gloria drew the second spot on the ballot, Tom Cary is third on the ballot, Martha Chacon drew fourth on the ballot, Everardo Ballesteros is fifth on the ballot, Rosy Cantu drew sixth on the ballot, Daniela Renee Flores-Aleman is seventh on the ballot, and current County Commissioner Asalia Casares drew the eighth position on the ballot. It is unknown as of press time if any other candidate will register as a Write-In candidate for County Commissioner Precinct 2.
In the County Commissioner Precinct 4 race, current County Commissioner Roberto Ruiz drew the top No. 1 spot on the ballot while challengers Luis Alfonso “Poncho” Ruiz is second on the ballot, Guadalupe “Lupe” Cardona drew third on the ballot, and Rossy Leos is fourth on the ballot. It is unknown as of press time if any other candidate will register as a Write-In candidate for County Commissioner Precinct 4.
For Maverick County District Clerk position, Carmen Molano drew the top No. 1 position on the ballot while Leopoldo “Polo” Vielma is second on the ballot. It is unknown as of press time if any other candidate will register as a Write-In candidate for Maverick County District Clerk position.
In the Maverick County Clerk race, incumbent Sara Montemayor drew the top No. 1 spot on the ballot while challenger Rosa Alfaro Martinez is second on the ballot. It is unknown as of press time if any other candidate will register as a Write-In candidate for Maverick County Clerk.
For Maverick County Treasurer public office, current Maverick County Treasurer Rito J. Valdez, III, drew the top No. 1 spot on the ballot as he is currently unopposed. There is a possibility that one or two persons may register as a Write-In candidate for the Maverick County Treasurer position, but none have registered as of press time.
In the Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 race, challenger David Sifuentes drew the top No. 1 spot on the ballot while challenger Charlie “El Protector” Ruiz is second on the ballot, and incumbent Judge Kina Mancha drew the third position on the ballot. It is unknown as of press time if any other candidate will register as a Write-In candidate for Justice of the Peace Precinct 1.
For the Justice of the Peace Precinct 2 position, challenger Gabino Musquiz drew the top No. 1 position on the ballot while current Judge Dora Madera is second on the ballot. It is unknown if any other candidate will register as a Write-In candidate for the Justice of the Peace Precinct 2.
In the Justice of the Peace Precinct 3 A&B race, Gilbert “Gil” Salas drew the top No. 1 spot on the ballot while Ramiro “Ram” Garcia drew the second spot on the ballot and David J. Castaneda is third on the ballot. It is unknown as of press time if any other candidate will register as a Write-In candidate for Justice of the Peace Precinct 3 A&B.
For Justice of the Peace Precinct 3C position, incumbent Judge Jeannie Smith drew the top No. 1 spot on the ballot while unopposed. It is unknown if any other candidate will register as a Write-In candidate for Justice of the Peace Precinct 3C.
In the Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 race, incumbent Judge Teresa “Tere” Melendrez drew the top No. 1 position on the ballot while unopposed. There is a possibility that one or two persons may register as a Write-In candidate for Justice of the Peace Precinct 4, but none have registered as of press time.
For State Representative District 74, incumbent Poncho Nevarez drew the top No. 1 spot on the ballot as he is unopposed. It is unknown if any other candidate will register as a Write-In candidate for State Representative District 74.
In the 293rd Judicial District Court race, incumbent District Judge Cynthia Muniz drew the top No. 1 position on the ballot while unopposed. It is unknown if any other candidate will register as a Write-In candidate for the 293rd Judicial District Court.
For the 365th Judicial District Court position, incumbent District Judge Amado J. Abascal, III, drew the top No. 1 spot on the ballot while unopposed. It is unknown if any other candidate will register as a Write-In candidate for the 365th Judicial District Court. It is unknown if any other candidate will register as a Write-In candidate for the 365th Judicial District Court.
