Eagle Pass Tractor Supply Store Grand Opening held Saturday, December 7th

Braving an early morning start time and a chili cold front, Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and Mayor Ramsey Ramsey English Cantu joined Tractor Supply Store District Manager Jeff Fonseca and Store Manager Norma Herrera in celebrating the official grand opening of Eagle Pass’s newest store on Saturday, December 7, 2013, in Eagle Pass, Texas, announced Sandra Martinez, Executive Director of the Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce.
Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce Board of Director Roberto Mireles was the Master of Ceremony for the early 7:45 A.M. grand opening ceremony on December 7th. Mireles welcomed Tractor Supply Store to the Eagle Pass retail business community on behalf of the Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce. Mireles asked for a moment of reverence for all the American soldiers and their families who served and fell at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 being that today is the 72nd Anniversary of Pearl Harbor. Mireles introduced Eagle Pass Mayor Ramsey English Cantu who thanked Tractor Supply Store for their confidence and investment in our growing community and wished them all the success in the world on their new Eagle Pass store. Mayor Cantu pointed out that hopefully the Eagle Pass Tractor Supply Store will become the Number One store in Texas out of the 139 stores available statewide.
Local Tractor Supply Store manager Norma Herrera welcomed the local Chamber of Commerce members and dignitaries in attendance to the new 19,097 square feet Tractor Supply Store and grand opening ceremony, offering them warm coffee, tacos, and pastries. Herrera stated that the new Eagle Pass Tractor Supply Store employs 17 team members and is the 139th store in Texas. Herrera added that “Tractor Supply is the largest retail farm and ranch supply chain store in the United States and has been operating in Texas since 1950. Eagle Pass is a great location for Tractor Supply Company because it’s a growing town, and the 17 team members are from Eagle Pass and familiar with the community.” Herrera welcomes everyone in Eagle Pass, Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, and the Middle Rio Grande region to visit the new Tractor Supply Store in Eagle Pass because there is something for everyone and take advantage of the grand opening specials and prizes from December 6-8th at the store.
Regular operating hours for the Tractor Supply Store are Monday through Saturday from 8 A.M. to 8 P.M. and Sunday from 9 A.M. to 7 P.M. The Eagle Pass Tractor Supply Store is located at 2116 Town Square Boulevard.
Also attending the grand opening ceremony were Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce Board of Director Mike Garcia, Executive Director Sandra Martinez, Administrative Assistant Theo Escobedo, IBC Bank-Eagle Pass Senior Vice-President Andres Beattie, City Manager Gloria Barrientos, City Chief of Staff Rafael Garza, local printer Anastacio “Hooky” Guajardo, State Representative Poncho Nevarez’s Assistant, Joe Ornelas, and many other local business and civic leaders.
