Eagle Pass Police Department Lieutenant Moises “Moses” Pena was suspended without pay from the City of Eagle Pass. Lieutenant Moses Pena is a 28 year veteran of the Eagle Pass Police Department and is one of three Lieutenants in the local police department.
Attempts to contact Eagle Pass Police Department Chief of Police Alberto Guajardo have been unsuccessful. The City of Eagle Pass is quiet on the matter and has not issued any public statement regarding Lieutenant’s Pena’s suspension without pay.
Since the issue involves a personnel matter, the City of Eagle Pass has not made any formal or official comment regarding Lieutenant’s Pena’s suspension. The matter is under investigation and Lieutenant Pena is reportedly represented by legal counsel. It is anticipated that Lieutenant Pena will exhaust all of his administrative and legal remedies available to him under the City of Eagle Pass Personnel Policies and Rules before taking any formal legal action against the City of Eagle Pass.
