Brownsville Independent School District Board President died of gunshot wound

A recently released autopsy report regarding the death of Brownsville Independent School District Board of Trustees President Enrique Escobedo, Jr. on December 19, 2013, reports Escobedo died from a gunshot wound to his head from a small caliber handgun, announced Cameron County Justice of the Peace Precinct 2, Place 1 Linda Salazar, who ordered the autopsy, and a toxicology report is still pending.
Brownsville School Board President Enrique Escobedo, Jr. was found dead in his bedroom on December 19th in Brownsville, Texas. Brownsville Police Chief Orlando C. Rodriguez stated they are still investigating the tragic death of Escobedo.
A preliminary investigation of Escobedo’s death suspects that Escobedo may have committed suicide. Escobedo’s family discovered his naked body on the floor of his bedroom beside his bed with a small caliber handgun beside him on December 19th.
The tragic death of Brownsville School Board President Enrique Escobedo, Jr. surprised the citizens of Brownsville and Cameron County, Texas.
On January 1, 2014, Donna Independent School District School Board President Alfredo Lugo was found dead in his home from an alleged suicide by hanging himself, becoming the second Rio Grande Valley School Board President to have allegedly committed suicide stunning the entire Rio Grande Valley.
