City of Eagle Pass Announces Housing Rehabilitation Assistance Program
The City of Eagle Pass would like to announce the Housing Rehabilitation Assistance Program. This program will assist up to four (4) homeowners with necessary repairs to their homes. In order to qualify, the home and property must:
- Be located within city limits
- Be owned and occupied by the applicant
- Be valued at less than $100,000.00
- Not be a mobile home
- Not have been rehabilitated by the program previously
This program is designated for those homeowners with incomes designated as low to very low as per the Area Median Family Income. Preference is given to those applicants with households that include persons with disabilities, U.S. Veterans or active duty military, and the elderly.
Applications will be available starting Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at City Hall and on the City’s website www.eaglepasstx.us. Completed applications must be turned in at the application box at the City Hall lobby by 5:00pm on Friday, February 21, 2014.
Interested homeowner’s are encouraged to attend an information session to be held on January 22, 2014 at 5:00 pm in the City Hall Council Chambers located at 100 S. Monroe, Eagle Pass, Texas 78852.
