Texas Lion District 2-2A District Governor Rod G. Chisolm of San Antonio, Texas announced that the Eagle Pass Lions Club is hosting the 2014 Midwinter Conference at the City of Eagle Pass International Center for Trade located at 3295 Bob Rogers Drive during Friday through Saturday, January 17-18, 2014, in Eagle Pass, Texas.
Over 100 Texas Lion members and their guests are expected to attend the two day District 2-2A Lion Midwinter Conference in Eagle Pass. The Midwinter Conference will kick-off on Friday, January 17th, at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites on North Veterans Blvd. at 7 P.M. with a welcome reception. The economic impact of this Texas Lions convention is expected to boost local hotels, retail businesses, restaurants, and the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino business during the two day event. More conventions such as the Texas Lion District 2-2A Midwinter Conference are needed in the community, particularly with the beautiful City of Eagle Pass International Center for Trade facility being available to host such events.
The Midwinter Conference will continue into Saturday, January 18th, at 8 A.M. at the City of Eagle Pass International Center for Trade with a breakfast and a keynote speech by world-famous coach David Vince of Louisiana, author of his autobiography “When Life Throws Your Curves, Keep Swinging,” detailing his dramatic and inspirational challenges he has had to overcome in life as a double amputee himself and the positive impact he has had on thousands of athletes across the country.
District Governor Rod G. Chislolm, a member of the San Antonio Founders Lion Club, thanks the Eagle Pass Lion Club and its dedicated members for hosting the 2014 Midwinter Conference in the historic U.S.-Mexico border city of Eagle Pass.
