United Medical Centers opens El Indio Highway Medical Clinic

United Medical Centers (UMC) Executive Director George Kypuros announced that the new El Indio Highway Medical Clinic at 4018 El Indio Highway (FM 1021) opened to the public on Monday, January 27, 2014, at 9 A.M. for existing and new patients requiring health care services.
The new UMC El Indio Highway Medical Clinic has four physicians and a complete staff to handle primary and comprehensive health care services. The El Indio Highway Medical Clinic is the third medical clinic opened and managed by UMC in Eagle Pass, Texas, but its ninth medical clinic in the tri-county area of Maverick, Kinney, and Val Verde.
United Medical Centers is a non-profit corporation designated as a Community Health Center under the auspices of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
The UMC El Indio Highway Medical Clinic manager is Humberto “Beto” Duran. Duran welcomes all Maverick County citizens to the El Indio Highway Medical Clinic, especially those who reside in southern Maverick County or El Indio Highway area. UMC accepts patients with insurance and no insurance. UMC accepts private insurance, Medicaid, MediCare, and uninsured patients are charged a discounted fee based on their ability to pay.
