Armed Robbery at Game Stop store in Eagle Pass, Suspect flees through rear door

An armed robber with a knife robbed the Game Stop store located on 432 South Bibb Avenue Ste 200 in Eagle Pass, Texas on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, between the hours of 11 A.M.-11:15 A.M. According to preliminary investigation reports, a male subject went into the the video game store and purchased a few items. he later went back in and and engaged a female employee, asking to see a video gaming system. He then followed the employee to the back room of the store as she went to retrieve the gaming system from the backroom. Once in the backroom he ordered her to lie on the floor and then proceeded to tie her up. The suspect then left the store.
The armed robber escaped Game Stop through the rear door and fled on foot, causing a massive manhunt for the suspect by local, state, and federal law enforcement authorities. The suspect is a young male dressed in all black. The U.S. Border Patrol helicopter is assisting in the search to find the armed robbery suspect.
All Eagle Pass residents and visitors are asked to take precautions since the suspect is armed with a knife and requested to report any suspicious persons to the Eagle Pass Police Department at (830) 773-9044.
