Dr. Monique Nguyen joins Southwest Texas Eye Care Associates

Dr. Monique Nguyen, an Optometrist, has joined Southwest Texas Eye Care Associates in Eagle Pass, Texas, announced Dr. Carlos E. Rodriguez, President of Southwest Texas Eye Care Associates.
“We are pleased and honored to have Dr. Monique Nguyen join the professional optometry staff of Southwest Texas Eye Care Associates and serve the Eagle Pass, Maverick County, and Middle Rio Grande community with all their optometry needs, including eye exams, eyewear and contact lenses, and eye diseases,” said Dr. Carlos E. Rodriguez.
Dr. Monique Nguyen is originally from Quebec, Canada and became a naturalized citizen and was raised and educated in Orange County, California. Dr. Nguyen is a graduate of the prestigious University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry in Berkeley, California, where she earned a Doctor of Optometry. Dr. Nguyen received her Bachelor of Science with a major in Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
“I am very excited to be joining Dr. Carlos E. Rodriguez and Southwest Texas Eye Care and serving the people of Eagle Pass and surrounding areas with all of their optometry needs. I look forward to helping the people of Eagle Pass and the Middle Rio Grande with their eyewear and eye disease matters,” said Dr. Nguyen.
“The opportunity to work and serve people on the United States-Mexico border, an underserved health care community, is an exciting and challenging professional opportunity for me,” added Dr. Nguyen.
Dr. Nguyen speaks three languages, including English, Spanish, and Vietnamese. “I look forward to practicing my Spanish which I learned while growing up in Orange County, California and at the Universidad de las Americas in Mexico City, Mexico,” said Dr. Nguyen.
“I like to invite everyone from Eagle Pass, Quemado, Carrizo Springs, Crystal City, La Pryor, Bracketville, Uvalde, Del Rio, and Piedras Negras to visit me at Southwest Texas Eyecare Associates,” said Dr. Monique Nguyen.
