On Monday, February 24, 2014, at approximately 3:34am, the Eagle Pass Police Department responded to an address in Maverick County reference to a Wanted Person. Officers made contact with the Maverick County Sheriff’s Department who were at the scene. Deputies advised that they had detained a male suspect who after a computer inquiry revealed he had an active warrant from the Eagle Pass Police Department for Intoxication Assault with a Motor Vehicle. He was transported to the Eagle Pass Police Department where he was processed and confined to jail pending magistration.
On Sunday, February 23, 2014, at approximately 8:31pm, the Eagle Pass Police Department responded to a call at Wal-Mart Super Center. Carlos Alan Sanchez, 49, of Eagle Pass, Texas was arrested for Theft over $500.00. He was transported to the Eagle Pass Police Department where he was processed and confined to jail pending magistration.
On Sunday, February 23, 2014, at approximately 2:14am, the Eagle Pass Police Department responded to 2200 Block of North Veterans Loop in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Officers at the scene spoke to both parties involved. Jose Rolando Fortiz Garza, 27, of Eagle Pass, Texas was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. He was transported back to the Eagle Pass Police Department where he was processed and confined to jail pending magistration. Joshua Riojas, 23, of Eagle Pass, Texas was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. He was transported to the Eagle Pass Police Department where he was processed and confined to jail pending magistration.
On Sunday, February 23, 2014, at approximately 1:26am, the Eagle Pass Police Department while on patrol responded to The Draft bar in reference to a fight in progress. Officers made contact with the security guard who was escorting one male subject out of establishment. The second male suspect fled on foot and was being pursued by EPPD officers on foot. Marc Anthony Torres, 42, of Eagle Pass, Texas was arrested for Evading Arrest and Public Intoxication. He was transported to the Eagle Pass Police Department where he was processed and confined to jail pending magistration.
