Department of Agriculture’s Rural Business Cooperative Service Extends Grants Deadline
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Pete P. Gallego (D-Alpine) announced today that the Department of Agriculture’s Rural Business – Cooperative Service has extended the deadline for submitting grant applications to help independent producers enter into value-added activities as part of the Agriculture Risk Protection Act of 2000.
“Helping farmers, ranchers and those wishing to grow in the agriculture industry is important to me – a member of the House Agriculture Committee,” U.S. Rep. Gallego said. “Those wishing to learn more about this grant, or wishing to apply for a grant under this program, please contact the offices in 23rd District of Texas so staff can help you with process.”
The original deadline of February 24, 2014, was extended to April 8, 2014.
