Maverick County Sheriff Deputies Involved in High Speed Chase

Maverick County Sheriff’s Office (PRESS RELEASE) – A high speed chase ensued in the Jardines Verdes sector of Maverick County on Wednesday March 19, 2014 near the 10:00 PM hour as deputies observed a white Ford F-150, bearing license plates AB3007, driving recklessly. Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the pickup accelerated at a high rate of speed. The Vehicle finally came to a stop after going over a canal at the end of Jardines Verdes and colliding with a fence on a property by Buena Vista Drive. A young male subject wearing a red shirt and blue jeans was seen exiting the vehicle and fleeing the scene. A search for the subject was conducted to no avail. It was later revealed that the Ford pickup was reported stolen by the Eagle Pass Police Department. This case is under investigation.
