C.C. Winn High School to host blood drive on April 10
SAN ANTONIO – When patients require blood – whether it’s red blood cells, platelets, or plasma – it all starts with volunteer donors who decide to help save lives and roll up their sleeves.
Because the community blood supply is always in need, we ask that you consider donating as often as possible. Currently, 65 percent of our donors only donate once a year. At our mobile drives, donors have the option of donating whole blood, every eight weeks or dual red blood cells, every 16 weeks. These much needed donations can help save the lives of cancer patients, trauma victims, newborns, and many others.
Helping our community and saving lives can be as easy as taking an hour to donate.
This April, all presenting donors will receive a chance to win plaza level Spurs tickets, including a parking pass, a T-shirt, and mini physical. You can donate blood at the following drives:
Eagle Pass:
CC Winn High School
Thursday, April 10; from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Donors must present identification. Anyone who is 16 years old weighing 120 pounds (with parental consent form), or at least 17 years old weighing 110 pounds and in good general health may donate blood. All donors receive refreshments, a mini-physical and are encouraged to eat before and after donation. Learn more about blood donation at www.southtexasblood.org or call 800-292-5534.
