Eagle Pass Eagles defeat C. C. Winn Mavericks 6-2 in regular baseball season finale

The District 29-5A Runner-Up Champion Eagle Pass High School Eagles defeated their cross-town rival, C. C. Winn High School Mavericks, 6-2 in the 2014 regular baseball season finale on Friday, April 25, 2014, at the Eagle Pass Independent School District Student Activity Center Baseball Field in Eagle Pass, Texas.

The Eagles will now advance to the Bi-District Championship next week against a team to be determined from District 30-5A.

The Mavericks end their 2014 baseball season placing fifth in District 29-5A, missing the playoffs by one place. The Mavericks will join a new District in 2014-2015 and will no longer be with the Eagles in the same district. Although the Mavericks and Eagles will play each other next year, it will be a non-district game.
