Ashley Furniture Homestore in Del Rio and Eagle Pass, Texas launches “A Hope to Dream”
As of June 1st, Ashley Furniture Homestore in Del Rio and Eagle Pass has launched a new program called “A Hope to Dream”. During furniture market, they were able to hear from Todd Wanek, CEO and President of Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc talk about how Ashley Furniture Homestore is part of a program that’s making healthy sleep a reality for thousands of underprivileged children across the country. Wanek mentioned that today there is over 230 Ashley Furniture HomeStores participating in A Hope to Dream; which now includes the Del Rio and Eagle Pass locations.
As a whole, Ashley Furniture Homestore’s (AFHS) A Hope To Dream program delivered nearly 8,000 new beds in homes of deserving less-fortunate children. AFHS has grown to over 521 locations In less than 10 years, they have become the Number 1 selling furniture brand in the world and the Number 1 retailer of furniture and bedding in the United States.
Each location is independently owned and operated. The Del Rio and Eagle Pass locations are co-owned by Ryan Ricks and Philip George. The goal of this program is to give back to the communities that have been so good to them and what better way than to make sure our local children are getting a good night sleep. “We are in a business to help improve lives, with every mattress that is purchased, we will help a child in need – A Hope to Dream. For every mattress sold at the Del Rio and Eagle Pass locations, Ashley Furniture HomeStore will donate $5 to make a healthy night’s sleep a reality for local, underprivileged children. Brands of bedding that can be bought, includes Sealy, Stearns and Foster, Optimum, Hybrid, Tempurpedic and Ashley Sleep. The child receives a mattress, boxsprings and comforter set. Ashley Furniture Homestores in Del Rio and Eagle Pass project to donate over 65 sets to local children in the first year, which amounts to a retail value of over $35,000.
