Janette de la Garza and Jorge Gonzalez named 2014 C. C. Winn Homecoming Queen & King

Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School Mavericks celebrated their 2014 Homecoming festivities during half-time of the Mavericks versus Laredo Nixon High School Mustangs football game culminating with Life Skills Club representatives Janette de la Garza and Jorge Gonzalez crowned 2014 Homecoming Queen and King with a standing ovation from the loyal Mavericks Nation fans.
Also named to the C. C. Winn Homecoming Court were Spanish Club representatives Adelaida Tellez and Dante Valdes as Princess and Prince, Mavericks Football representatives Karen Vidaurri and Emmanuel Herrera were named Duchess and Duke, Thundering Maverick Band representatives Angelica Beltran and John Padilla were named Countess and Count, and Student Council representatives Alexia Villarreal and Rolando Garcia were named Lady and Lord.
The 2014 C. C. Winn Mavericks Homecoming festivities were successful and even sweeter with the Mavericks victory over the visiting Laredo Nixon Mustangs 21-7 during Homecoming in a key District 29-5A football game.
