Two Pick-Ups involved in auto accident on Highway 57 North near La Pryor, Texas

A two pick-up trucks accident occurred on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, on Highway 57 North near La Pryor, Zavala County, Texas at approximately 2:45 P.M. injuring at least four persons and causing the highway to be temporarily closed to traffic.
Two Eagle Pass men traveling in one of the pick-up trucks were injured with one of them sustaining a fracture on one of his legs. At least two other persons or more were traveling in the other pick-up truck.
According to travelers at the scene of the accident, two medical transport helicopters arrived at the scene of the accident to transport those injured in the accident to medical hospitals in San Antonio, Texas for medical treatment.
Fortunately, no fatalities were reported in this accident.
The Zavala County Sheriff’s Department was called to the scene of the accident. The Texas Department of Public Safety also arrived and took over the investigation of the accident on Highway 57 North between La Pryor and Eagle Pass, Texas.
This accident is another Eagle Ford Shale region auto accident, which has seen a significant increase of auto accidents, including fatalities, since the development of oil and gas fields in South Texas.
