… Expected heavy rainfall could affect our region …
The City of Eagle Pass Emergency Operations Center has received news of expected heavy rainfall for our region of 2 – 4 inches with isolated totals of up to 7 inches for tonight. Some areas could receive heavy amounts of rain in a very short period of time, causing minor flooding of low areas, creeks and low water crossings in urban areas.
Persons who live in low-lying areas should take all necessary precautions to safeguard from potential flooding. We urge Residents and visitors to be “weather-aware” and keep a constant watch on weather and road conditions. Remember if water is over the road…….Turn Around, Don’t Drown!

Fuertes lluvias podrían afectar nuestra región
El Centro de Operaciones de Emergencia ha recibido noticias de posibles fuertes lluvias para nuestra región de 2 a 4 pulgadas con un total de hasta 7 pulgadas para esta noche. Estas tormentas producirán aguaceros fuertes; en algunas áreas podrían ser en un período muy corto de tiempo causando inundaciones menores en lugares bajos, arroyos, y cruces de bajo nivel en zonas urbanas.
Las personas que viven en zonas bajas deben tomar las precauciones necesarias para protegerse de posibles inundaciones. Residentes y visitantes deben mantenerse “conscientes del clima” y mantenerse vigilantes de las condiciones meteorológicas y de las carreteras. Recuerde que si el agua está sobre la carretera…De La Vuelta, No Se Ahogue!
