Gates Millennium Scholar Alexa C. Calderon graduates with Master of Health Care Administration

Eagle Pass Independent School District’s first Gates Millennium Scholar, Alexa C. Calderon, graduated with Cum Laude honors in the Master of Science in Health Care Administration degree program at Winter Commencement from the prestigious Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, on Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Laurie Auditorium, announced President Ahlberg.
Calderon is a 2007 graduate of Eagle Pass High School with honors, earning the distinction of becoming the local public school district’s first Gates Millennium Scholar. Calderon graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Trinity University in 2011.
Calderon was hooded by Dr. Edward Schumacher, Professor and Chair of Health Care Administration, and Dr. Shari Albright, the Norine R. Murchison Professor of Practice and Chair, Department of Education, at Trinity University.
The Commencement Address was presented by Dr. David Crockett, Professor and Chair, Department of Political Science, at Trinity University.
Calderon was joined at Commencement by her parents, Diana and Ricardo E. Calderon of Eagle Pass, Texas and many family members.
