Female Truck Driver found dead inside her Truck Cab

A 48 year old female truck driver was found dead inside her 18 Wheeler Truck Cab by Eagle Pass Police Department Officers at an Eagle Pass truck stop located at the intersection of Highways 57 and 277 on Sunday, January 4, 2015.
The out of town female truck driver’s company contacted the Eagle Pass Police Department reporting her as being unresponsive to company and family telephone calls and provided information as to a description of her 18 Wheeler Truck and Trailer.
When Eagle Pass Police Department Officers arrived at the local truck stop, they found the female truck driver’s truck and trailer. They found her truck cab door unlocked and proceeded to attempt to make contact with her when they discovered her body lying on the floor. They immediately contacted the Eagle Pass Fire Department EMS for assistance. EMS found the female truck driver without vital signs and deceased.
Justice of the Peace Jeannie Smith of Quemado, Texas was called to the scene of the tragedy and after examining the body pronounced the female truck driver deceased and ordered an autopsy be done in Laredo, Texas to determine the cause of death.
The case is under investigation by the Eagle Pass Police Department. A possible cause of death may have been a heart attack, but the official cause of death will not be known until the autopsy of the deceased woman is completed and returned to the Eagle Pass Police Department.
