Eagle Pass Young Man found dead at his residence

A young Eagle Pass, Texas man, Emiliano Lopez, age 19, was found dead at his residence in Loma Bonita subdivision in Eagle Pass on Sunday, February 22, 2015, announced Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber.

Local law enforcement received a telephone call from the young man’s girlfriend who was traveling to San Antonio, Texas and attempted to call her boyfriend several times and he did not answer her calls, prompting her to call authorities.

Upon arrival to the young man’s residence, Maverick County Deputy Sheriff’s found Lopez’s body without any vital signs of life. The Deputies contacted Maverick County Justice of the Peace of Precinct 2 Dora Madera to pronounce Lopez deceased.

Judge Dora Madera ordered an autopsy of Lopez to be performed to determine the cause of death.

The cause of death is unknown and is under investigation by the Maverick County Sheriff’s Department.
