Frontera Film Festival Opens New Frontiers
In preparation for this year’s 6th Annual Frontera Film Festival a group of students were selected to travel through out our state to help promote the rapidly expanding film festival. The film festival founder Mr. Jessie F. Fuentes stated that it is always a major undertaking to schedule and coordinate such a publicity tour. He went on to say, that the planning of such a trip requires extensive and diligent communications between all digital media teachers in this district and the districts to be visited. After careful wrangling of scheduling conflicts and other potential complications this year’s tour would take the students to: John B. Connallly High School in Pflugerville, Cedar Creek High School in Bastrop, South San, Harlandale, McCollum High Schools in San Antonio.
The students selected to represent the Frontera Film Festival are EPISD students who have excelled in the districts Career & Technical Education course- Arts, Audio, Video Technology & Communication Practicum course. The tour dates were March 1, 2, 3, 2015, and the tour was a tremendous success. The Eagle Pass Business Journal congratulates EPISD – Arts, Audio, Video Technology & Communication teachers.
