Manuel Pete Rodrigues named 2015 Mr. Amigo for Abrazo Ceremony

The Eagle Pass International Good Neighbor Council announced that Eagle Passan Manuel Pete Rodrigues has been named as the 2015 Mr. Amigo for the International Friendship Festival’s Abrazo Ceremony to be held on Friday, March 20, 2015, at 5 P.M. at the City of Eagle Pass International Bridge No. 1 in Eagle Pass, Texas.
Manuel Pete Rodrigues worked over 30 years with the Texas Department of Transportation including Director of the Eagle Pass Office and is a tireless community volunteer and philanthropist. Rodrigues is also a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus and a past Grand Knight for many years.
Rodrigues will be joined at the March 20th Abrazo Ceremony by Piedras Negras, Coahuila International Good Neighbor Council’s 2015 Mr. Amigo, Salvador Chavarria Delgado, a philanthropist and outstanding business and civic leader in the State of Coahuila
Eagle Pass and Piedras Negras, Coahuila public officials, business and civic leaders will meet at mid-bridge of the Eagle Pass International Bridge No. 1 on Friday, March 20th, to exchange the traditional “Abrazo de Amistad” to symbolize the unique and beautiful friendship and relationship enjoyed between Eagle Pass and Piedras Negras citizens.
