Amado Cantu, Jr. Sentenced to Two Years in State Prison

District Attorney Roberto Serna reported that on October 22, 2015, a Maverick County jury found Amado Cantu, Jr., 49 years of age, guilty of the felony offense of Theft. The jury sentenced Amado Cantu, Jr., to 2 years confinement in the state jail penitentiary, the maximum confinement allowed by law for this case.
District Attorney Serna would like to thank Assistant District Attorneys Robert Lee Little and Alberto Rodriguez and District Attorney Investigator Clemente De Hoyos for their hard work in the preparation of the case and presenting the case to the jury. D.A. Serna would also like to thank the Eagle Pass Police Department for the investigation of the case. D.A. Serna pledges to the public to that he and his office will continue to seek the successful prosecution of felony crimes in Dimmit, Maverick, and Zavala County to ensure the safety and protection of the public.
