Eagle Pass Recording Artists selected among Top Five Tejano Music Awards Finalists

Eagle Pass Conjunto groups, Da Krazy Pimpz and Los Garcia Brothers, have made the top five finalists for the 35h Annual Tejano Music Awards under the category Conjunto Album of the Year. The 35th Annual Tejano Music Awards will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts in San Antonio, Texas.
Da Krazy Pimpz are nominated for their 2014 Album titled Nadie Nos Podra Borar while Los Garcia Brothers are nominated for their Album Aferrado Mi Loco.
The final decision as to who takes home the top prize will take place on October 24, 2014 during the annual awards ceremony.
Other groups that made the top five nominations under the category, Conjunto Album of the Year were 50th Anniversary – Linda Escobar, El Siguiente Capitulo – The Hometown Boys, Legends & Legacies – Flaco Jimenez & Max Baca.
Da Krazy Pimpz along with hometown Sweetheart and past Tejano award winner (Best New Artist Female) Jessica Sanchez were also nominated for the category Vocal Duo of the Year for the song Nadie Nos Podra Bajar, but failed to make the top five nominations.
This is the very first time that two groups with its roots embedded in Eagle Pass are nominated and make the top five nominations in a category at the same time.
Osacr G also made the top five nominations under Vocal Duo of the Year for the song Eternamente which he performs together with Adalberto Gallegos. Oscar G was also nominated for Song of the Year but did not make it to the top five, category under that nomination.
Oscar G in the Vocal Duo of the Year category will be going against Elida Reyna & Jay Perez – Siempre Seras Para Mi, Elida Reyna, Ben De Leon & Rolando Benavidez – Atrevete Amarme, Jimmy Gonzalez & Edgar Ramirez – Di Algo, Joe Posada & Agnes Torres – Poco A Poco, Little Joe & Linda Escobar – Something Stupid.
