Eagle Pass High School Lady Eagle Melanie Mendoza signs National Letter of Intent to play Softball at University of Texas at Arlington

Eagle Pass High School Lady Eagle standout softball player, Melanie Mendoza, signed a National Letter of Intent to play college softball at the University of Texas at Arlington on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the local high school’s Conference Room amidst her parents, family, teammates, friends, and teachers, announced Vale Moreno, Principal of Eagle Pass High School.
Mendoza is a senior and will playing her fouth season as a member of the Eagle Pass High School Lady Eagles varisty softball team during Spring 2016. She joins her sister, Sandra Mendoza, who also plays softball at the University of Texas at Arlington.
The University of Texas at Arlington Mavericks play Division I softball with the NCAA.
Mendoza is an All-District infielder for the Lady Eagles and is known for her outstanding defensive glove skills and power hitting.
Melanie Mendoza is the daughter of Eagle Pass High School Head Baseball Coach Reynol Mendoza and wife, Tina Moreno Mendoza.
The Eagle Pass Business Journal congratulates Melanie Mendoza on signing her National Letter of Intent to play softball with the University of Texas at Arlington Mavericks and wishes her the best in her collegiate softball career.
